President-elect Joe Biden has begun filling positions for his administration, and after making history by selecting the first woman who became the vice president-elect, he may be on the brink of another first — tapping the first Black woman to be named White House press secretary, NBC News reported on Wednesday.
Now, this is some damn GOOD NEWS!

Karine Jean-Pierre–MPA from Columbia, and prior white house experience. What’s this with having qualified people? But will she never lie to us?
I don’t mean to debase this by bringing up ‘optics’, but this would send a strong message that the US is returning to principles of inclusion. In short, it would be nice to see. If she gets the role, I wish her well.

I am Ok with either Symone Sanders or Karine Jean-Pierre. Both women are qualified and deserve a prominent spot in the Biden administration.

Jean-Pierre is an excellent choice. Extremely bright and thoughtful in the appearances I’ve seen her. She just has a level of gravitas that would be refreshing in the position.
