There is system and there are people.

If Biden has GOPers in spots in which, say, some type of Moscow McConnell-type power cannot be used to submarine progress, then I don’t have a problem with it.

The system we are going to need to set this country right will dictate the overtures, the positions and the people

OT Cat knows he is going to win

Democrats need to focus their displeasure (how diplomatic) towards the CURRENT occupier of the WH and his Trump sucking minions. We have had a LOT of help this time from the Lincoln Group and other like-minded people. We disagree with many of each others point-of-view but have recognized a need to work together. This is the latest shiny object to deflect.

I can live with Biden rendering Kasich or Baker unelectable in Republican primaries for Senate in their respective states.

Or, Maybe he could pluck a Republican senator from a state w/ a Democratic governor and pad his senate majority.

…and no major Cabinet positions. HUD, Transportation, that’s about it.

A little political diversity posturing goes a long way when setting up an administration.

I read the Politico article, And I liked this
passage:

despite their criticisms, progressives have collected a handful of wins on the Biden transition. Former officials note that it’s customary to vet potential candidates from across the aisle

Somehow we have to start moving in the direction of fixing this divide because it’s killing our government and our society and it’s going to kill us.

I don’t have a problem with reaching across the aisle.

Please don’t. Please let the GOP die the slow painful death it deserves! pendejo cabron

Because Judd Gregg and Chuck Hegel worked out so well for Obama

I don’t have a problem with reaching across the aisle either, as long as we are not reaching for enablers of Wheezing Fatso or cowards like Flake

Flake is such a dim, boring bulb. Biden certainly wouldn’t be able to claim he’s hiring the best.

Agreed. Requires a lot of thought. Not just kneejerk action.

If only Jeff Flake had had the guts to vote against Kavanaugh.

There is no more aisle to reach across.

The remainder of the republican party has moved to full nazi mode, there is no more “moderate” part of them, save relative loyalty to the nazis.

The sooner we understand that there are no more normal people left to negotiate with, and that we need to just start running things entirely on our own, the better off we’ll be.

Dear sweet Jebus, please do not put a Republican in charge of DOD. They keep doing it, and all it does is reinforce the narrative that Democrats are weak on the military.

He hasn’t made any appointments. This is good politics right now.

That’s not an acceptable pejorative.
