Report: Biden Admin Discovers Trump Had Zero Plans For COVID Vaccine Distribution

The degree of Trump’s incompetence and depravity.

This is the guy who knew it was airborne and dangerous and lied to the nation about it.

Ask them both at what should be the American version of the Nuremberg trials. There’s plenty of blame to go around and plenty of accountability needed.

This is evidence not only of the malignant indifference that has characterized all of his years in public life, but actually argues that he knew well before the election that he had no chance of winning. The news that broke earlier about having no stockpile of vaccines wasn’t supposed to break until today. His plan was to ride out of town and leave Biden holding the bag.

The documentary Totally Under Control (see it if you haven’t!) sticks a fork in the “competent Kushner” myth. Turns out, his vaunted Covid “war room” was a total fiction … 10 unpaid college kids in a room with laptops Googling potential suppliers of PPE. (Spoiler alert: they didn’t secure A SINGLE PPE.)

A clip…

It looks just like Trump.

Mass murderers.
These fucking people.

I know we are facing multiple great crises, and a lot of people and a lot of things will NOT be ok, but today just feels different. It feels like everything doesn’t completely suck.

Granted. But I’d give a lot to know how explicit Trump was in his threats to Pence in their private conversations.

This is the presidential oath of office, that Trump took on 1/20/17:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Apparently he misread “faithfully execute”, but was faithful to “to the best of my ability”.

I look forward to Rudy defending him thusly in his various upcoming trials, of which there will be man, some criminal, using a variation of the insanity defense, on the basis on involuntary incompetence and stupidity.

No, he’s been executing people.

That was my point.

Biden administration officials were reportedly stunned to discover that President Joe Biden’s predecessor didn’t have a plan with regards to distributing the COVID-19 vaccine.

I’m guessing that not a single Biden administration official was the least bit surprised.

It was also widely expected on this board.

Crumbling under threats from a bully is not a leadership trait. That’s my point. I have sympathy for human frailty, having my own share and then some, believe me. But when you put yourself forward as a leader, when you ironically act as even more of a coward precisely because of that ambition, well, I have no brownie points for you.

I think your first sentence captures it, but with a nuance you described in your third sentence. He was and is always consumed by his image of himself and how to preserve it, but as we all know he wasn’t concerned about his image among people who couldn’t get him what he wanted (e.g., us). He was only concerned about giving the people who he thought helped him get to where he was what they wanted, and it sure seemed to them that they didn’t need or want things like masks, social distancing, vaccines, or anything remotely resembling a federally-managed effort for dealing with a pandemic (which probably was just a Dem hoax anyway).

I don’t think it’s “sadism” in the usual sense - that would imply that he cared at all about other people’s experiences. I don’t see any evidence that he does.

The promise of 100 arms in 100 days was made before it dawned on any one that Trump Inc.Was lying about the existence of a stockpile of vaccine. The possibility of such a blatant lie is difficult for normal people to conceive of.

I think he enjoys knowing that his perceived enemies are suffering. That’s a form of sadism, I suppose.

As they say in law enforcement circles, there’s nothing more effective in taking down criminals than their own stupidity.

“Wow, just further affirmation of complete incompetence.” (from CNN)

No, it’s criminal negligence. Put it on the list to sort out who knew what, when did they know it, and why didn’t they say or do anything. Anyone from the Trump administration involved in this game of hide and seek needs to be banned from any further governmental or political leadership position.
