‘Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Trump golfs.’

There is one sentence in the document that deals with medicare for all. It isn’t much but it is there. You all must have missed it.
“Generations of Democrats have been united in the fight for universal health care. We are proud our party welcomes advocates who want to build on and strengthen the Affordable Care Act and those who support a Medicare for All approach; all are critical to ensuring that health care is a human right,”
It was added this week.

Last night Bernie was clear in telling his people to fall in line. He was enthusiastic. He was clear the progressives are not surrendering, just reorganizing to come back in force after the election. Same message as the Republicans in the Lincoln Project.

Tactical thinking from a man whose most enthusiastic supporters so often forego it.

“My friends, the price of failure is just too great to imagine.” – Senator Bernie Sanders
What he said, but raised by two or three orders of magnitude.
If you think it’s bad now, I guarantee that another four years will place you into “Hellscape Amerikkka.”
Just as Trump envisaged during his inauguration speech.

Well said! A very optimistic and unifying comment. You’ve managed to model exactly the opposite of what Bernie was calling for last night. That is, “lets put aside our differences and beat Trump.” If we truly are the “big tent” party there should be plenty of room for tactical thinkers and youthful passion and enthusiasm.

??? That is exactly what Bernie was calling for.
I have considered myself somewhat “progressive” in the democratic party way. Bernie Sanders doesn’t own that word and neither do his followers. Another media shorthand that means nothing.
Exactly. It was one of Bernie’s finest speeches, if not his very finest. Another of Bernie’s key contributions last night was calling out the authoritarianism. When Bernie endorsed Joe (back in another era), Joe explicitly stated to Bernie he needed Bernie in order to do what Joe intends to do.
Unity, what a concept.
