Report: 2 Grand Juries Will Soon Consider Subpoenas In GA Trump Probe | Talking Points Memo

Yeah, the only one with true conviction and dedication. The rest of them were a bunch of friggin’ cowards.

Sorry, I meant The Orange Mother Fscker. Election Fraud is a non-violent offense. The confusion resulted form the placement of my post within the others that were discussing one of those oath keeper mother fsckers. There’s so many damned mother fsckers in the news these days, it’s hard to keep track.

Ah, my bad, apologies! Yeah, lucky if we see charges, but still, not a cakewalk if he even has to deal with a trial and legal expenses.

At least we don’t have to learn a dozen new russian names every week. Anymore.

The last image I want to see is him in a nice orange jump suit with numbers on the front. The next to the last image is his mug shot as his presidential portrait.

Prosecutors deal with criminals every day and they really, really don’t see the humor in it when you threaten them.

  1. Exactly: A big test.

  2. As things stand, in Atlanta, Fulton County.

He might well screw up the trial. It’s not the usual “unable to assist in his defense”, but he does have deficiencies there. (Which he would fire a lawyer rather than admit, unless it could be sold as a ploy. Which he would then brag about…)

If the action takes place in Atlanta, do the recipients of subpoenas have to appear, or just their lawyers?

It’s a good thing The Office of the Former President is immune from prosecution. Sidney Powell has all the details. She’s already briefed SCOTUS on it. And if anyone disagrees, well, that’s a nice Capitol you have there, it would be too bad if anything happened to it.

So far the subpoenas are for documents, including digital recordings.

Donald Trump must be having a bad day.

On the other hand the weather is nice in Palm Beach today.

I wonder if and when that happens that the pix is put up on Twitter will it brake the all time “like” record as the single most “liked” tweet?

Hope they fixed that leaky toilet…

If only there was a numbering system in place, like ID’ing someone as Individual #1. We could then keep some sort of roster.

While this is a legal case, the more critical aspect is PR. Conviction by a jury is the ultimate PR victory, of course, but Trump and his minions being found guilty in the court of public opinion is just as important. So the longer Trump and his lawyers drag it out, the more guilty they all look.

Further, an indictment is a PR victory, but while the prosecutor seeks it, it is citizens who issue it based on the evidence. And once someone is a criminal defendant or likely to be one, their lawyer will tell them to STFU or else risk admitting to a crime or elements of it. Since Trump can’t STFU and wouldn’t listen to his lawyers anyway, he’s likely to admit to crimes and simply dare prosecutors to hold him accountable.

Legal processes run so slowly and a conviction is hard to get with a potentially biased juror or two. I suspect Trump would be convicted in DC or Atlanta, if it ever got that far, but you never know what tricks his lawyers will come up with to move the trials or on appeal. So Trump will never go to jail, but he could have to spend millions he doesn’t have to fight the cases in court, and he’ll lose the PR battle in the process.
