For better or worse, I think this is one of those discrete political developments that really donā€™t mean much one way or the other on the larger scale. Kansas was always going to be a stretch anyway.

I celebrate Kobach loss. May he disappear from regular view.

I am always happy to see Kobach lose but I have mixed feelings in this case because it reduces the chance of a Dem win for this Senate seat. Oh well, there are other Senate races that are close that we have to focus on now.

I like watching KKKobach get Karma-slapped.

Except when he endorsed his opponent. Earlier. In another race.

Will Bollier at least force Rs to dump lots of money and effort into KS?

May the coming Blue Tsunami wash over Kansas, too.
Not much enthusiasm among republicans this election cycle - except the most feral of trumpers. Their brand is toxic. Meanwhile, Democrats are up in arms over trump, racism, police brutality, lack of healthcare, everything. Biden and a solid VP pick will have some long coattails this November.

Howā€™s your concern, Suz? This monster is part of you, whether you admit it or not.

Trump indicates heā€™s likely to deliver his RNC speech from the White House, which would be an egregious abuse of his office for political gain

Yeah, I wish that the Kansas Democrats hadnā€™t wasted time and money on trying to make Kobach the nominee. That kind of gameplay rarely works. And I donā€™t think this other guy is really any better than Kobach from a policy standpoint.

Probably not, he is a Republican after all. He may be as toxic as Kobach but that isnā€™t obvious to the voters at this point.

Well, the Lincoln Project is doing their darnest to point out that ā€œRā€ = Trump Enabler.

Hereā€™s hoping a Trump Endorsement becomes a kiss of death.

Pain for Kobach is good. He deserves whatever happens to him. I hope we have and implement a 50 state strategy and force the Republicans to defend themselves at every turn. This is easily the most consequential election of my lifetime. And despite all the semi-satisfying bad news befalling Trump, I donā€™t feel safe. 2016 still haunts me.

Same, but its also nice to see that Thielā€™s billions canā€™t buy Kobach a senate seat:

Got caught lying about the voter fraud committee.
Ordered to take a remedial law class when he was Secretary of State.
Lost the race for Governor.
Thatā€™s okay Kris, as long as you are a Republican and wonā€™t take no for an answer, you keep on trying to reach your dreams.

Thatā€™s how we ended up with Trump

Yes, I think it likely that she will force them to use resources in Kansas they would rather use elsewhere. My understanding is that folks in northeast Kansas (Topeka, Lawrence, and Johnson County) are pretty tired of the GOPā€™s nonsense. Bollier will have the war chest she needs to mount a serious challenge to the seat. Itā€™s also an open seat, and that is very different from running against Roberts. I hope she wins.
