Back before the Big Lie, before the days of examining ballots for bamboo particles, or dreams of liberal voting machines with minds of their own, or nonexistent discarded ballots clogging up our waterways, we witnessed what seems to be an episode of bona fide, dirty, orchestrated election fraud.
Four goddamned years since his 2018 election fixing and he never saw the inside of a prison.
Republicans are trying to prove there is voter fraud the old fashioned way, by producing it themselves. Dowless should have gone to prison for what he did, it’s too bad they let COVID get in the way of that happening.
I smell evangelical. It’s the haircut.
Which is to say, every church has a guy like this, a nice hand for the old women to hold as they vote GOP. And I’m sure a nice church van to take them to the polls.
When it comes to voter fraud, we put the saints in jail and liberate the snakes.
The balance is so sad, it just proves the rule of law floats whenever Republicans enforce the rules.
And neither has the good baptist minister who Dowless was working for, and never will.

He had sufficient plausible deniability that he wasn’t going to be indicted, even with his son testifying that he told him to steer clear of Dowless. And since Dowless never got as far as a scheduled sentencing he had little incentive to flip. But if you want coverup, Dowless was referred to the Eastern District NC DA before the 2018 election for jimmying primary elections. EDNC DA did nothing.
I may have missed it, but does anyone know what killed Dowless? Was it Covid?
Whatever it was, it was sure convenient for a lot of republican operatives and officeholders. ETA: Unless he has an heir of a different political persuasion who is going to go through the files.
