A referee is alleging that serial sexual assailant Dr. Richard Strauss masturbated in front of him in the showers of Ohio State University after a match. The referee allegedly immediately told then-assistant coach Jim Jordan, who shrugged him off.
If you havenāt met a suckup like Jordan, the kind whoās a stoolie for the prison guards, the one who not only wonāt challenge authority on a matter of principle but helps to further the abuse he ought to challenge, youāre lucky. You find them in any large organization where abuse is occurring, in Auschwitz, the Catholic Church, the offices of any good-sized business, damn near any group of more than a few dozen people. I was taught to have contempt for them, but too many people are taught to go along to get along.
There was a Boy Scout leader in my hometown who allegedly sexually abused over 100 kids. No one can do that over the years and completely avoid complaints.
One gets away with it because the complaints get shrugged off or the complainers were demonized. Thatās what happened in my hometown.
Jordan is a bully wannabe. And: you have to wonder about the whole effing culture there. (Of course, wrestling has an enormous closeted homo-erotic component to it, which fuels non-consensual kinks.)
This story sounds like a political hit job. I have no reason to believe Jordan was unaware of Straussās activities, I believe the timing of the story is suspect.
Naw, this is just a companion to a big investigation by the WaPo which broke yesterday. When any of the big folk break a story, all the competition runs to see if thereās an angle they can catch.
The stupid posturing shirtsleeved motherfucker coulda just maintained his cozy lazy do-nothing gig in Congress, but he had to take rubles, and now heās all-in with the Traitor-in-Chief, and the enhanced scrutiny is going to destroy him.
I was a wrestler and, especially my high school coach, had there been a single indication let alone a complaint about anyone molesting one of his wrestlers he would have filed a criminal complaint and that person would have been forever barred from the locker room.
I expect that the families of the soldiers in the tomb would have traded "a huge chunk of our business and all international deals to avoid the appearance that we were āprofiting off the office,āā in a heartbeat so that they could have their loved one back.
I canāt wait for these despicable people to learn that some things canāt be bought.
