‘Really Bad Politics’: Kinzinger Swipes At McCarthy Over Threat To Telecom Companies | Talking Points Memo

Peter Baker is a smarmy, little rodent who mouths GOP talking points — word for word — as he flogs every news item as proof of ”Democrats in Disarray!” while simultaneously dismissing blatant proof of Republican crimes as ”We just don’t know that anyone did anything wrong here.”

He’s a mealy-mouthed boot-licker blinded to the inescapably-obvious minor detail that he and his fellow journalists will be the first up against the wall if Republicans ever manage to cut the final rule-of-law threads that so tenuously hold back the furious, gun-toting, horse-deworming mob baying for his blood.

He’s that insufferable, little jerk who wore a tie to school every day, from K through 12, and never quite learned from his regular de-pansing in the middle-school cafeteria that Eddie Haskell is cautionary tale, and not a role model.

Dude, you are a complex guy. You have youtube’s algorithm totally befuddled.

312 Republicans in Congress, and exactly two of them have the balls and intelligence to play the long game.

Make no mistake, both Kinzinger and Cheney are still shitbirds. But for now, they’re OUR shitbirds.

“I think to turn around then and make ominous talk to these telecom companies that, when we take over, it’s going to be different or we will have payback, that’s just not, frankly, the Republican Party I remember and the Republican Party I ever joined,” Kinzinger said.

I’ll take help from whomever I can get it.

Funny - on a hunch, I just Googled “How Lou Bouton got soul” and it took me to the same place.

Perhaps I should have stuck with “How Jim Bouton wrote ‘Ball Four.’”

OT: I was reading Haaretz and saw these delicious dinners and deserts to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, which is tomorrow. When I lived in Israel, one year a Sephardic family had me over for a traditional Moroccan feast; real couscous with lamb and veg made in a couscousserie.

Yeah yeah I contain multitudes and so forth. But the algorithm is pretty complex itself and somewhere down in the bowels of the thing, which I imagine are much like the vast workshops of destruction under Saruman’s tower, something I clicked on made this if-then thing happen and I’m just curious how that worked. If you liked video whatever, you might want to see Louboutins get resoled.

I’d be interested in seeing how republicans get re-souled. I have no idea what that other thing even is.

Hilarious.
I have faith we will get through all this (Infrastructure bills, Voting Rights, Roe, Climate, etc.) and the R party is going to rue the day they decided to do a lousy swan dive off the cliff and drown themselves. We must remain vigilant, but pfffft…good gawd, they are making it easier for us.

That marriage of Baker and Susan Page is like Jaime and Cersei Lannister, incestuous, any issues from that union are both sick and banal.

OMG there’s a restaurant that’s been in Montreal for ages called “Au Coin Berbère” that does great couscous. I’ve made stumbling efforts to cook it myself, but I have no idea how they make the good ones good. :sob:

Re: “bad politics.” This guy, and the talking heads and most of the “important people” still don’t get it. We’re way beyond politics. The cult don’t care about optics or politics. They will gnaw off their own feet if they think it will get them closer to the totalitarian solution they desire above anything else.

Recently I bought a guitar amp and separate guitar software from the same brand, Positive Grid. Naturally each site embeds their own various YT videos. I rarely go to you tube but when I did each ad was for Positive Grid. So I started researching green roof information because our building is going deep green. Now when I’m at YT I get some great leads. lol

OMG if you search once for “lug nuts for 1963 Avanti” you’ll be seeing ads for them for the next seven months over in your Gmail account.

Well, observationally, for current Republicans, the line is only if children are able to view the mouse decapitation.

Except in some districts, that is, where the absence of children is, in fact, bad politics. Across the Bible Belt, anything less than forcing minors to participate is regarded as a win for antifa.

I believe most of them (and us) know about the Right and what they want. And their totalitarian urges.

It’s just that we are still tied to:

  • conventional dress: business Suits instead of Jackboots and Peaked Caps

  • “both sides” must be portrayed as having equal value and rationale

  • people working in companies for salaries which support their families by doing the above

For all the existential dangers we are facing just this decade, a casual observer would still see the same types of clowns on Sunday Morning Shows. Using the same verbiage. And the same gimmicks of the Trade

I’ve read crazy rumors that TFG was going to get himself appointed Speaker of the House (it is not necessary to be an elected Congressman to be Speaker) if the GOP takes the House in 2022, then lead the impeachment and conviction of Biden and Harris, making himself de facto President.
