Good luck in your run for the Senate, Mike. Human scum.

At this point he would be lucky to get elected to a state senate seat. Bye, bye, Mike.

Folks in the Midwest will recognize a weasel when they see one. I sincerely hope.

Wow. Who thought anybody could be worse for State than Tillerson. Yet Trump found the guy. Maybe he can share a cell with Bill Barr? But then he has access to the new K&E lawyer. Making Neo-Feudalism work. Every day.

Pompeo is a tool of the Koch gang.

He recently gave an interview to a Kansas paper where his arrogance and testiness were on full display; this in a state where he wants to run for senate.

And why in the f’n hell would the Secretary of State need to confer with a private citizen regarding one of his own Ambassadors? No wonder he’s so reviled at Foggy Bottom, and no wonder Chuck Rosenberg was so angry.

Pompeo needs to testify under oath, but of course he’s too much a coward to do so.

BTW, close to 9 pm Eastern, and TPM still has news breaking. Going to be another good week.

According to reports, those tendencies were present when he was with CIA.

“of the Koch gang” is both overkill and extraneous.

" “of the Koch gang” is both overkill and extraneous."

Really?

Pompeo is an acolyte of the Koch empire.

Better?

Those hopes are shriveling up quickly. A couple of weeks ago playing coy with the local press in Kansas, on one of his many trips back home. Ah the power of being such a Big Figure. Suddenly - two weeks later - his coy power plays look weak, feckless, self-interested, and many other descriptors, none of which are what voters of either party look for in a senator.

And when he was in Congress.

And when he goes home at night.

And when he goes to work in the morning.

I have read that the scuttlebutt is that there were informal celebratory parties at Langley when he left the CIA to go head State. Like his boss, seems that those stuck working with him and under him, find the experience extremely unpleasant, and the work to be off-mission.

Am I bad to find the fact that such scuttlebutt leaks into full view a reason to feel a moment of glee?

I think the point was - he is a tool - captures Pompeo. (Dig at Pomps, not at you.) I agree that the reminder that his tooliness far predates Trump by tying him to the Koch’s is a legitimate point. I rather like both points.

Since he’s been heavily backed by the Kochs this kind of stuff might not impact him that much there.
However, Kansas does seem to have soured a bit on the other Koch proteges----Brownback and Kobach.

Half right.

The best form of Karma would be those voting in Pompeo’s longed for Senate seat speaking with the Democrat candidate before deciding not to issue a vote of support for him.
