READ: Meadows Sues Jan. 6 Committee, Members | Talking Points Memo

Re his odds in luck of the draw on the judge. Current makeup of the DC District Court:

9-4 D-R active appointees
7-6 D-R senior appointees

I do not know if this case can go to a senior judge.

Gotta keep it in court. Any court. If it’s in court, I’m not guilty of anything. Okay. How. How. A suit. I need a suit. Start a whole different judicial process. Cut myself. Oh yeah. A nice, clean cut.

I’m free.

Nothing says you’re guilty quite like hiding the evidence that ties you to the crime.

I think one thing we’ve noticed pretty consistently is that the Supreme Court, even with the nakedly political justices Trump appointed sitting on it, isn’t inclined to give him his rattle every time he cries. They’ve repeatedly stiff-armed him on this kind of thing. And the question of executive privilege as it applies to non-current leaders of the executive branch regarding matters typically not covered by that privilege seems to have been addressed as well. So this is a punk move from a punk, long story short. Glad we could clear that up.

What is being proven is that there is simply no way to punish an attempt to subvert the democratic system, the culprits (I am talking of the real instigators and conspirators, not the Shaman idiots ) and their allies in the court are going to delay things long enough until the republicans regain the majority (and they will because Americans are either nasty and/or stupid), so all investigations will be dropped and the DOJ will not dare to investigate them.

So they will be ready to do it all over again in 2024 if things don’t go their way.

Because Meadows is, by every definition including the US penal system one, a punk.

Probably not, as long as they back it up with some precedent or evidence. I will note that of the 60-something election fraud lawsuits, only 3 of them have resulted in sanctions. Courts don’t like to sanction if there’s any grey area at all.

Nope. Nothing that came after that has been proven or is in the process of being proven. This facile cynicism is a) not supported by the facts and b) not helping. I’ve already said once today that going after Meadows et al. shows where they’re aiming. It’s not rocket surgery.

or you can’t be honest and upfront despite saying you are honest. Ya know, I refuse to answer your questions though I have nothing to hide.

Is this Terwilliger the III’s doing? It seems more like a Sidney Powell move.

Is he arguing that what the committee is asking is illegal or that it ought to be illegal and the courts should make it so? I thought R’s always complained about activist judges legislating from the bench.

You go to court with the idiot you have, not the idiots you wish you had.

Unless he gets Neomi Rao, he’s fucked six ways from Sunday.

No other federal judge is going to do much besides laugh at the brazenness and stupidity in this lawsuit.

LOL. The clown parade continues to demonstrate that these folks are nothing but cowards and traitors.

Cowards and traitors to the bone
(oh, and fascists).

Not sure this is even hiding the evidence. It’s more like he threw the gun off the bridge, but did it in the middle of a parade carried live on television. All the while screaming that they’ll never get their hands on the fingerprints now.
