“For the foregoing reasons, the court-appointed amicus curiae respectfully submits that the
Government’s motion to dismiss should be denied and no Order to Show Cause why Flynn
should not be held in criminal contempt should issue.”

TL;DR - Stop wasting our fucking time!

Makes for a great Racial Unity Speech from Trump and Co…

From Traitor to Hero looks a lot like Bigot to Savior…except for this snag

My legal analysis as a 34 year bus driver: That’s just an old fashioned curb stomping.

If Flynn has just taken his medicine like man, this would have been long over with by now.

Dont worry…Rao and Henderson will wipe their asses with the law and Constitution and receive accolades from the Federalist Society for the scent, color and moistness of the smear.

Bill Barr is not going to be happy about this… what’s the next move going to be?

Hopefully, Sullivan will get on with it expeditiously and sentence him. The Trump can pardon him and we can move on.

Well, here we go… Flynn plead guilty and the presiding judge has corroboration that sentencing is due, not dropping of charges…There shouldn’t even be question on how to proceed…So the question may be, will Flynn & the DOJ accept the sentencing ? Or will he refuse to go to jail and ask Barr for some kind of shield from those consequences ?

Holy cow. The man lied under oath and even Judge Emmet Sullivan called him a traitor. Sentence him and it will FORCE tRump to pardon him in the middle of his polling numbers free fall. That will be a great optic and a new Lincoln Project and Republicans Against Trump next ads.

I havent even read it yet and I can tell you right now that 82 pages from Gleeson is going to read like a hermetically sealed legal argument magnum opus. Everyone from Toobin to Bararha says he is one of if not the single best attorneys they have ever worked with, met or witnessed.

Time to crank up the Pardon-o-matic, Donnie…

Pardoning a confessed traitor just gives the Democrats more ammo for their campaigns.

Can’t wait to hear what the Law and Order President has to say about this.

The brief is remarkably direct in its accusations. Witness the following:

[Rule 48(a)] empowers courts to protect the integrity of their own proceedings from prosecutors who undertake corrupt, politically motivated dismissals. … That is what has happened here. The Government has engaged in highly irregular conduct to benefit a political ally of the President.

I wonder if William Barr actually cares about any of this. Put another way, is it possible for someone to be such a complete and utter nihilist that absolutely nothing society thinks of them would affect them in any way? I actually don’t know the answer to that, and I doubt anyone ever could know.

He’ll probably make a crack about the Honeymooners, and he thought Gleeson was dead.

And then compare Flynn’s “martyrdom” to George Floyd.

Because the the Orange Gasbag can’t help himself.
