Time to disbar Barr.
Ignoring the verdict brought by a jury of his peers. There goes the GOPā€™s harping on representing the will of the American public.

No recommendation at all? that is the upshot of this ā€œrevisedā€ brief. This is unheard of. Shows clear political interference. The only reason why this would have occurred legitimately is if there was a breach of or failure to follow the sentencing guidelines.

Yet, the memo shows the guideline was the sentence earlier recommended. It was the exact sentence the law called for. DOJ is now asking for a downward revision. but donā€™t justify it, or explain why this would be appropriate. Let alone explain the change in position.

Judge Jackson needs to hold a hearing really fast and put everyone signing these pleadings under oath, find out if someone is perverting justice.

A fascist rot is consuming our democracy. The absolute corruption and criminality that leads the fascistgop no longer feels the need to disguise their murder of that quaint concept of 'equal justice under law".

They are daring Judge Jackson to respond with righteous fury and justice. Then Trump will have an excuse to pardon the poor, feeble old man. Itā€™s performative fascist play against the judge, because whatever the sentence is, Trump will laugh and pardon, anyway. Because he can. After forcing the judge to look impotent. Full-on fascism.

This isnā€™t a prosecutorial sentencing memo at all. It does nothing but highlight potentially, highly dubious mitigating circumstances. The judge will have seen nothing like this before. An open-court judicial investigation is required.

Trump is messing with the wrong women. Jackson holds her temper well, she should just hold a hearing, make everyone testify under oath, get to the bottom of it. And the pardon power does not extend to contempt of courts, etc. Jackson should use this to destroy the careers of everyone who interfered in Justice before her court.

Sentencing left to the judgeā€™s discretion. Go get him, Jackson.

ā€œThe government defers to the Court as to what specific sentence is appropriate under the facts and circumstances of this case,ā€ the document reads.

So, the proper sentence is one that follows the sentencing guidelines - 7 to 9 years. Just like DOJ filed for yesterday.

Just trying to get an ā€œObama judgeā€ to order the sentence on her own so Trump has something else to rant about and use for a pardon excuse.

Barr should be made to be the most publicized individual in the United States until the Election.

He is certainly the one destroying the Rule of Law.

If we did not have a notion of the Rule of Law

  • We would not have cop TV series

  • True Crime TV shows

  • Movies with policepersons as themes

  • Presentations of lawyers

Barr is doing away with that. Trump is the law.

Why have a TV series in which ā€œjusticeā€ is served and the perp can simply dial up Trump or Barr when convicted?

When the time comes, Bill Barr will throw Donald under the bus without even a momentā€™s hesitation.

And Barr will still be destroyed.

Interesting. They canā€™t even come up with a legal argument to construct a lesser sentence, so ā€œleave it up to the judgeā€.

Wow.

And these people passed the Bar exam somewhere?

If you ignore the fact that my client was found guilty of murder, Iā€™m sure youā€™ll agree the sentence is much too harsh.

Next theyā€™ll be trying to get rid of Jackson.

Something else is going on here. Trump didnā€™t need to wait for sentencing or even a verdict, could have pardoned him at any point in the process.

After last Wednesday, why he hasnā€™t been just issuing blanket pardons to his buddies like Flynn, Manafort and Stone is beyond me, as the Senate has explicitly told him heā€™ll never be held accountable.
