Rand Paul Thinks 11 Million Americans With COVID Should ‘Celebrate’ | Talking Points Memo

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on Thursday said that the more than 11 million people who have been infected with COVID-19 in the United Stated should “celebrate” — falsely claiming that those people are now immune to coronavirus.

I might celebrate the permanent closing of that cakehole.

Does that include the 66,000 people in the hospital with Covid fighting for their lives?

The man is further over the edge every day. Kentucky must be a black hole of ignorance.

Hey Randy, I hope your health insurance is valid, because you’re going to be in the emergency-room with whiplash on or about January 20th, 2021, when you start claiming that COVID is and has always been Joe Biden’s fault, right?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight?

“Paul, who was a physician self-certified ophthalmologist before entering politics…”

Please @zoe_richards don’t give truth to this deliberate falsehood of a practitioner.
Apparently COVID has left him in a diminished capacity to reason. With this proclamation, he’s proving he has less credibility than anyone to speak on this topic.

Did I mention? Paul is an asshole who continues to self-certify that aspect frequently.

Well, we’re conducting this experiment in real time.
Go out to the bars without masks, South Dakota! Rand (not, I swear, named after Ayn) says it’s OK!

Can we all chime in and say MORON.
Most of the survivors dodn’t have access to some of the best medical treatment - if medical treatment at all-again these people show disdain for Americans.

Even if a person is immune if they get COVID once (there is no evidence this is the case, and indeed we know of at least a few people who have contracted COVID twice) there is no evidence to believe they cannot be carriers who can still spread the disease.

Furthermore, people who have got COVID are predominantly poorer and are unlikely to have the means or wherewithal to celebrate in these difficult times.

This guys is a complete dickhead and asshole. I just wish his neighbor had done a better job.

Yea, they should celebrate.
