he fertility rate for teens in Texas rose for the first time in 15 years in 2022, a shift driven by disproportionately high rates seen among Hispanic teens in the year after a six-week state abortion ban took effect, according to a University of Houston study.
Latinas of all ages also experienced the biggest increase in births and fertility rates compared to other racial or ethnic group in the state from 2021 to 2022, according to the study released last week by University of Houston’s Institute for Research on Women, Gender & Sexuality.

James Comer (R-KY) and his ilk put on the closed-door testimony between the time it happened and the transcript was released.

Of course, it’s what they wanted. Look at all that cheap, uneducated labor that will be available in ten or 15 years, when they revoke the laws controlling child labor. It’s already happening. Under the GQP management, it’ll become rampant.
But always remember and never forget: the moms of these children can’t choose what books they read because they’re under-age and impressionable.

A report published today in JAMA Internal Medicine estimates that in the 14 states that outlawed abortion after the Supreme Court’s June 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, 64,565 women became pregnant after being raped, “but few (if any) obtained in-state abortions legally.”
In 14 red states, it’s estimated that, since Dobbs, 64,565 women became pregnant after being raped.

I find it effective to read people by the posture of their mouths at rest. Mimicking that posture is also helpful. Try it.
