Racist In Chief: Trump Says Suburbanites Will ‘No Longer Be Bothered’ By Low-Income Housing | Talking Points Memo

President Donald Trump turned his Twitter account into a racist bullhorn on Wednesday, nonchalantly posting that “people living their Suburban Lifestyle Dream” would no longer have to bother or deal with low income housing in their neighborhood.

He’s running openly as the “tremendous” white racist candidate. All pretense has been dismissed and the mask; not the fabric one he refuses to wear; is off.

You mean no more Trump developments in suburbia? Wonderful…

What a miserable piece of garbage this man is. At least he’s thrown away the dog whistle; I prefer my bigotry out in the open. He’s preaching to his base; I am firmly convinced there are more us than of them. Vote him out!!

Is every white person about to be evicted going to move into these manicured suburban neighbourhoods?

Someone is really panicking about those polling numbers in the suburbs. You know; those suburbs that used to be all-white and are now increasingly mixed race, but still all-white in his fevered imagination. Good luck with this one, Donnie. Keep it up, you’re doing great!

“Mr. President. Did you discuss Russian bounties on American troops with Putin?”

“I just did, said or promoted someone who is racist. You should focus on that as a distraction”

How many white people live in low-income housing? A good number, I imagine.

Trump is scum.

At some point his redneck hillbilly base has got to snap out of it and realize he barely even considers low income Americans like them human. Sure he’s racist but his bigotry includes anyone economically disadvantaged regardless of ethnicity.

Trump responds to Biden’s accusation of racism by comparing himself to Lincoln

There’s one way I’d really like seeing Fat Nixon compared to Lincoln.

It involves theatre going.

Damn. I’m sorry I ever asked how he was planning to keep city swellers confined within their dystopian, undercounted boundaries of census tampering.

In another thread, I mentioned that Donald Trump was the id of the Republican Party, but could not remember who said it. According to Ms. Google

“ Donald Trump is the personification of the Republican id” — Paul Waldman. The date, June 17, 2015.

None, absolutely none of these miscreants should be let off the hook. These malefactors are all in on this debacle. They are as unspeakable as they are unforgivable.

Ironically, many of the suburbanites dispossessed of their dream by Reactionary restrictions on aid to the jobless may be in the market for some of that “low income housing.”
It’s not, after all, like that party is looking at doing anything constructive about the phenomenal unemployment in this country.

Issues that need to be addressed are the cost of owning a home is too high, rent is too high, the number of people without houses is too high, children are living in cars, people are living on sidewalks … and his answer is less subsidy for housing.

Trump is scum. Lock him up!

His idea of “suburbia” is the Queens of his youth, apparently, where his dad’s discriminatory policies kept local tenants happy.

That’s, um, not the way it is now. Not that NIMBY-ism isn’t a problem but the reason so many suburbanites hate Trump is that they tend to be more educated, higher income, and more diverse. Not exactly the audience that responds to 60’s style racist dogwhistles about “law and order” and “housing projects.” The only people who think this is clever are rural rednecks who wouldn’t know a suburb if it landed on their fat heads.

He’s also having Barr help white suburbanites draft new Restrictive Covenants so they can keep out ‘those people’ who happen to be doing a bit better financially and who just want to purchase a home and be good neighbors.

And he’s getting rid of those pesky laws and regulations that prohibit banks from red-lining.
