Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) would like the public to know that she’s apparently relishing in the backlash over her conspiracy-ridden remarks that have spurred calls for her expulsion from Congress as well as the revocation of her House committee assignments.
Greene touted that she believes Democrats’ efforts to boot her off of committee assignments will help clear her schedule so that she can go on a national tour for the purpose of getting more Republicans into the House next year.
It’s the Trump playbook, and she’s playing through it perfectly. When all is done, she may end up President or she may just be a successful grifter who got rich off the GOP base for a few years, but she’s smart enough to know how to work GOP voters, unlike the rest of the GOP leadership. While I think she’s crazy and that Dems might be able to stop her in some areas, we really need the media and the GOP to step up to rid us of her entirely.
Is she going to start a PAC so she can fund these new recruits?
My Congresswoman first ran 2012. And after getting elected Republican leadership put her and two other newly elected Republican women in charge of recruiting more Republican women to run for office. They managed to get 20 Republican women run in 2014, so I believe out of 20 only three got elected.
So Marjorie dear go right ahead, because it’s not just finding a another you, it’s working with the state Republican or county Republican party people. They may not take to kindly to your…so…called…style.
Best-case scenario is that the confederate party is split between sane and insane (all relative, of course) and we get a bunch of disgusted former R voters. Worst case is that insanity prevails and the party goes somewhere very dark. And that’s more people than I’m comfortable with. Bad enough already.
QAnon Rep Basks In Controversy: All This Uproar Is Awesome For Me!
Yep, of course it does. And we actually very happy it is so. You get to suck up the wingnut donations, scare mainstream republican voters and donors, into the conforting democratic arms, and we all get I nice laugh. What is not awesome about it?
“How stupid they are,” Greene said, before Democrats on the House Rules Committee voted to advance a resolution to strip her membership on her committee assignments on Wednesday, setting up a final vote in the full House on Thursday. “They don’t even realize they’re helping me. I’m pretty amazed at how dumb they are.”
These are the contemporary words of a Member of Congress. I wonder how well they stack up to words of Members of yore from back in the day.
