Vladimir Putin suggested on Thursday that it’s time for Russia to stay in the business of territorial expansion — drawing direct allusion to long wars with the West to that end.

Russia’s Unity Day (November 4th) is going to be fun to watch.

NATO will help with that lack of definition.

Putin’s indefinite expension begins with his ego.

Are you referring to Russia or to the American Republican Party?

I am sure it is just lighting, but Vlad looks a bit orange in that photo.

Reminds me of my brother after he was embalmed.

Nice overly heavy looking sweater jacket too.

This shows the sumbitch has really gone ga-ga a la Hitler and his musings about Lebensraum.

Accordingly, we need to proceed, ever so carefully, under the nuclear threshold, to plan the dismantlement of the Russian state. It’s clearly not serving any useful purpose.

Which only underscores why we need to take out Russia’s military now, rather than later.

He only needs to wait until 2024 when Americans in their infinite stupidity and angry because it take $100 to fill their big-ass trucks reelects Donald Trump, who then abolishes NATO.

That’s my biggest concern.

That’s really not a thing we can do. (The possession of Nuclear Arms is a thing that constrains, rather than frees a military power, this is a lesson the Russians are busy [re-]learning, the hard way.) However, as a practical matter, Mr. Putin and his cronies have largely achieved that goal with little of no effort on our part. They’ve been busy spending the military budget on Vodka and whores for some years, now. (And it shows in Ukraine.)

Current Intelligence estimates are that Russia has lost 25% of its entire army’s fighting capability with its adventurism in Ukraine. That will not improve as the war progresses, regardless of how anyone chooses to score the outcome.

Yes it really is.

I’m sure he is. He is planning on the midterms going his way, sanctions lifted, less support for Ukraine, NATO. More internal divisions and distractions. Everything he’s been planning since he succeeded with Brixit
