In a statement Wednesday that would have come as a shock two years ago, a close ally of the Kremlin said that his company — accused of funding Russia’s 2016 internet trolling — “has every intention of participating in the trial” that is set to start next week.
“Participate,” in this context, means “Pay Eric Dubelier lots and lots of money to create a spectacle to attack the Mueller Report while not providing any genuine or non-cherrypicked documents or witnesses located in Russia because you can’t make me.”
Huh. Prigozhin sounds like he doesn’t expect the US DOJ to go all out to prove that Russians committed crimes to influence the 2016 election in Trumpp’s favor,”.
What’s the downside? They get to continue to “participate” in making a sham out of the proceedings, and can and will simply ignore any verdict/punishment that may result. Chaos and continued discrediting of American institutions is their only goal.
Seriously, why would any honorable company delete emails after 90 days? Do they all have short attention spans or something? That ignorant excuse alone should be enough to find them in contempt.
I think it was warren buffet who said “Never put into an email anything you don’t want read back to you in a court of law.” I don’t know about honorable, but many companies do have an automatic email purge policy.
Huh. I’ve never encountered that in 30 years of IT work. And what would this ‘fine and upstanding’ company have in their emails that would be ‘disadvantageous’ in a court of law? Either they’re on the up-and-up or they’re engaged in the very nefarious activities they’re accused of perpetrating.
