The most basic question here is how anyone can locate him–no doubt he’s got multiple “secure locations”–and who in his inner circle would dare turn on him to arrest him? Putin seems to have been channeling Stalin in his relationships with his inner circle…

How much more evidence does the world need to see to acknowledge the criminal conduct of Russian troops acting at the behest of the supreme criminal, Vladimir Putin. Putin is clearly waging an unprovoked war of conquest and genocide against the Ukrainian people. There is little doubt that his troops are deliberately targeting civilians.

The time is well past for the free world to bring this murderous effort to an end and bring Putin to judgement.

Since we are still waiting for TFG to be held accountable for the insurrection, I have my doubts of anything being done against Putin. (And I don’t want to sound like I am bagging on Merrick Garland, I know it takes a while. Just frustrating)

I just hope the Russian people will turn on him.

Exactly. The entire invasion, from its inception in one sick mind, is a crime against humanity, against the planet, against everything decent in the universe or multiverse or whatever is the word that would encompass everything.

Good, if not particularly encouraging, information. :frowning:

I’m all for letting Putin and his entire rotten crew rot in a Hague prison cell. But you can’t write an article about the “age of impunity” for war crimes without mentioning the names “Bush” and “Cheney.”

“Impunity” will last until Putin and his gang are captured and dragged by force to The Hague.

Osama Bin Laden received the good justice under international law. Pootie Patootie is the Osama bin laden of the frozen north and without the demure modesty of the hijab.

Enrique has been singing the praises of Ginni to the Feds. Should be interesting.

Remember that the USA is NOT a signatory to the ICC treaty.

We have no legitimate claims here.

It would appear that there is a reciprocal relationship between justice and power – the more of the latter, the less of the former – but there is also the nature of the institutions themselves: in international law AFAIK they are creations of treaty and even signatories seem careful to grant them neither the way nor the means for full enforcement of what is granted on paper.

I understand Pootie Patootie’s inner circle was breached shortly after President Biden took office. The inner circle and military establishment is compromised and the information we have been getting as a result has been quite reliable and actionable.

The courage of the Ukrainian fighters and the intelligence explains why nearly 15,000 invading terrorist scum have left their earthly shackles and are either stuck in the Ukranian mud collecting carrion beetles or in trucks en route to Belarus.
