Feeling lucky, Republican voter?
Republican politicians, who doubt anyone has landed on the moon, are ending federal support of health care, including medical research, training and staff support, as well as actual hospital facilities. We will all be affected with higher costs and poorer service. Just like they’re doing to federal agencies.
This government claims to be the solution, the key to a lower standard of living for the governed. Including you.

Well, they have a point. If the people are disheartened and struggling, they’ll have less energy or even available will to fight back against the movement to help all our billionaires become trillionaires …
If the people were healthy and had a little cash to stock away and had strong protected workplace rights… you know, all that “pork” that Elon takes issue with…then they might feel empowered, a little more energetic after work, and start to speak out a little more against the upper crust, make more demands, go out and vote for someone grumpy like AOC…
And we can’t have that.
Not in this great democratic nation.

Will my adorable greatgrandson have access to vaccinations? He is just over a year old. It breaks my heart to worry about him, my grandchildren, my son and my daughter-in-law.

I suspect the Republican House members now publicly bewailing their vote for the Bloated Budget Buster Bill, because they “hadn’t noticed” particular provisions, to be just for show. It’s a *Don’t blame me! Reading is HARD!, to which every constituent should reply “DO YOUR JOB.”
Smart Democrats would repeatedly, non-stop call out these folks. She voted for a bill she didn’t bother to read, and now she’s all sad because it will hurt you, her constituents – why didn’t she just DO HER JOB?? And then elaborate on that, and other harmful provisions that Democrats are opposing. 2026 is a lot closer than you think.
Seriously, is there any way to get this message through to Democrats in office and in the Party structure?

House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green, R-Tenn., is departing Capitol Hill early, he announced on Monday.
Green said he is leaving Congress for the private sector after the House votes again on President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” in the coming weeks, in a statement first obtained by Fox News Digital.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my retirement from Congress. Recently, I was offered an opportunity in the private sector that was too exciting to pass up. As a result, today I notified the Speaker and the House of Representatives that I will resign from Congress as soon as the House votes once again on the reconciliation package,” Green said.

IMO not enough is made about the fact that Trump is only against non-white people seeking asylum. He actually went out and looked for some White South Africans to offer asylum.

DC prepares for Trump’s military parade with 18 miles of fencing and 175 magnetometers
“We’re preparing for an enormous turnout,” said Matt McCool of the Secret Service’s Washington Field office, who said more than 18 miles of “anti-scale fencing” would be erected and “multiple drones” would be in the air. The entire District of Columbia is normally a no-fly zone for drones.
A total of 175 magnetometers would be used at security checkpoints controlling access to the daytime birthday festival and the nighttime parade. Metropolitan Police Department chief Pamela Smith predicted “major impacts to traffic” and advised attendees to arrive early and consider forgoing cars for the Metro.

Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) — who used to be the head coach of Auburn University’s football team – recently called California a “third-world country,” saying that “anarchists are in charge, law enforcement is being attacked and the rule of law is nonexistent.” Newsom didn’t let the comment slide, and pointed out that Tuberville’s state actually has a much higher violent crime rate than the Golden State.
“Alabama has 3X the homicide rate of California. Its murder rate is ranked third in the entire country,” Newsom tweeted. “Stick to football, bro.”
