A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things.
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), who left D.C. amid negotiations with the White House over the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill that she refuses to back at its current size, encountered protesters in her home state several times this weekend.
Dum asses
Prior to MAGA Trump supporters raising more than $2 million to help with his legal costs, Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller publicly denounced help from the former president and his son, saying he would ārather sit in jailā than accept their support.
President Trump. I was told by everyone to kiss the ring because of your following and power. I refuse. While I respect your foreign policy positions* I hate how you divided the country. I donāt need or want your help. You do not have the ability to pull US together. You may even win the next election. But your generationās time is running out. Tell your son to stop tweeting about me. Your whole family knows nothing about US or our sacrifices. I could never work with you. Iād rather sit in jail and be released with a dishonorable than make compromises in my beliefs. Lt. Col. Scheller Rejects Trump Support: āI Donāt Need or Want Your Helpā (breitbart.com)
Hard to infer a lot from a single picture but I donāt think Sinema is all there. I almost think sheās incapable of realizing what a ruckus sheās caused.
Sen. Sinema should do a couple of townhall meetings in AZ and answer her constituentsā questions directly. Some of them want answers and she is certainly not being very forthcoming.
2 things: 1. I think the key question is how wedded Sens. Manchin and Sinema are to the Dem Party: would they be willing to turn independent, or even caucus with the GOP? 2. What is Sen. Sinema trying to accomplish? I have read various analyses of her possible motives, but none of them really click with me. Does she think she is playing a winning hand now? Also, who is her real audience?
She doesnāt care. Her job is, in her mind, to promote herself to her financial backers.
She really doesnāt care what the actual Democratic voters want. She plans on being a one-term Senator and for blocking the reconciliation bill she has been promised a life-long seat on the dark money gravy train.
Wing nut welfare - its not just for Republicans any more.
She pretends to be feeling āpressureā from voters that cannot be seen, send no email or letters, and make no phone calls. The actual voters who do all those things oppose her stance.
