Militia groups, gun hardliners, and far-right activists are set to converge on Virginia’s capital in Richmond next week as the state’s new Democratic majority considers legislation that would enact sweeping gun control measures.

These guys don’t realize how the average person sees them…they think since they love guns that everyone must also, and protect their right to carry a gun how they see fit. They miss the part of the Constitution where it has to benefit everyone…laws can be passed that put limits on Constitutional freedoms as long as they are reasonable. You can’t yell fire in a theater to create a panic, and you can’t carry a weapon to do so either.
And, the people are in favor of things like red flag laws…it sounds like the Democrats won because they wanted to do something reasonable that can stop shootings (mass or otherwise). In comparison, you’re going to have these crazies running around crying that they can’t carry their weapons anywhere they want…they just don’t get that is the entire point, or that they are hurting their case by threatening “solutions” if they don’t get their way. It’s about time they get shut down, this entire right wing movement has gotten to the point that they basically want to overturn the government we have and are willing to use threats of violence, and violence itself, to get their way.
Well, depending on which of our police and military shows up, these folks might find themselves on the wrong side of some pretty significant armaments that will make their rifles look like pop guns.
There is still the rule of law as it is written in this country. Threatening anyone with a weapon is probable cause to take action against them. Threatening someone with a piece of cardboard doesn’t have quite the same impact.
Here’s hoping our police and military understand their respective oaths (note - I’m not completely convinced they do).
Reading about KC Massey a minute ago, I think little could be more dramatic or effective than for the whole movement to replicate en masse.

They are basically thugs threatening the Dems. The Dems need to hold strong and NOT BACK down. If they do, they will never be able to do anything that these bully’s don’t agree with. The Governor needs to call a state of emergency if they show up with guns and declare arrests as this is not how a democratic country behaves.
