Well, Melania destroyed Jackie’s rose gardens in the previous term. Had all the trees cut down, the many varieties of rose bush ripped out, and replaced with some white (symbolism, anyone) roses. So while Trump may be symbolically dumping on the Kennedys, he’s also putting it to his latest wife.
(1) Musk is gone, and
(2) It isn’t waste, fraud, or abuse when a Republican does it.
IMHO his golf courses fairways should be paved over too! And angled so that his drives roll into a groove that feeds directly into the cup for a hole in one on every hole.
Every round will then be a perfect 18…a hole in one on every hole!
I mean seriously…eff grass…
What an effing dork.
I have had the honor of standing in that Rose Garden for many events benefitting veterans and military families. EVERYONE was honored to be there and if the roses were in bloom, it was extra special. I never heard a single person complaining about their 7" heels sinking into the turf or the “wetness.” I hope the next president tears that the fuck up and replants the green space that was meant to be there. What a pig.
Paving the Rose Garden goes right along with his plans to pave the National Parks and the wildlife areas up in North Alaska. When we finally get rid of this moronic clown, perhaps we could pave over the entirety of Mar a Lago and anything else that he’s defecated on or in or near. Perhaps we could even bury him in his famous gold toilet - head first.
You know, after he dies.
Yes, but they will be purely decorative. In honor of the patriot oil drillers.
It was redesigned by Jacqueline Kennedy in 1962.
No, no it wasn’t.
It was not designed by Jackie, it was JFK’s idea, and Merriweather-Post, was the designer for the project. She was a friend of his. It may have been for Jackie, but she had little to do with it.
Donald is a fantastic dancer. As long as he can bend his elbows : - )
A real megillah
It’s emblematic
Trump Tower, DJT’s signature building in Manhattan, was built on the former site of the upscale apparel store, Bonwit Teller. When in 1979 Trump announced his plan to demolish the store’s beautiful Art Deco building, he tried to assuage public outrage – people hadn’t gotten over the destruction of the city’s Penn Station some ten years earlier – by agreeing to preserve the two statues and the grillwork in the facade; he would donate them to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which was eager to acquire them. Instead, without warning he had the demolition crew destroy the statues and dispose of the grillwork. His “spokesman,” John Baron, offered up lies as excuses to NYC newspapers, and months later Trump, as himself, told the press more lies about the incident. Members of the demolition crew, who were overworked, underpaid, and undocumented Polish workers, sued Trump because of their unsafe working conditions and eventually won a large judgment against him.
All the traits familiar to us today were on full display fifty-five years ago, including Trump’s misplaced confidence in his superior judgment in art and design. From the article linked to below (the whole is well worth reading and has some pictures):
Baron informed the Daily News that “the merit of the stones was not great enough to justify the effort to save them.”
…
Board and staff members at the Met were furious and confused about Baron’s claims that the sculptures lacked merit. “Can you imagine the [Met] accepting them if they were not of artistic merit?” asked Ashton Hawkins, a Met board member.
…
Later that year, Trump told New York Magazine that the art [at Bonwit Teller] was “worthless” and the “Met didn’t want it.” He also boasted that the publicity was not all negative. “The morning after the [Bonwit Teller] story hit the front pages of the Times , I must have gotten two dozen calls from people who wanted apartments in Trump Tower. It was fantastic promotion.”
…
Trump engaged architect Der Scutt for his new Trump Tower. Scutt tried to convince Trump to approve a design that was reflective of the traditional and dignified district. Trump was adamant that he wanted his Trump Tower to be a bronze-colored glass skyscraper. Scutt was unable to sway Trump. In 1980, the architect told New York Magazine , “If Donald hasn’t built it, it’s not any good. And it has to flash to be good.”
…
It’s a shame that some of the building’s priceless sculptures were destroyed due to a lack of appreciation and patience. Fifth Avenue lost some of its heritage and dignity when masterpieces were replaced by lonely glass skyscrapers made from gold.
Just wait until he starts work on his Palace of Trashy Decor which will replace the East Wing. Of course the East Wing which used to hold the office space for the First Lady is no longer needed because the Last Lady is gone and Melania can’t be bothered to do anything more with her life except shop and visit the spa at Mar a Trashgo.

→ Remember, more than one thing can be true. It’s both.
The rest of the world is trying to re-green and bring back pollinators and wetlands and managing more precipitation. This a-hole paves over things, making it hotter and less environmentally sound.
Trump, in a nutshell.
Trump would probably be happy if McD’s put a popup there just for his midnight munchies.
Should be interesting to see what it looks like after a season of freezing and thawing…
It will take months to remove all the gold doodads and paint from Offal Office.
Then…there is the proposed Huge ballroom that will remake the…East wing
Well, you could’t get anything more symbolic than this, could you?
That wouldn’t be the proper permanent monument to him of the kind I think he envisions springing up all over America…Or maybe the world?
Is the Rose Garden area where he intends to put his stupid Mar-a-Lago-style patio? Which he wants because when he comes out onto the one at Mar-a-Lago the criminals and misguided idiots dining there always give him sick and insane standing ovations.
