Just found out that all of the harbors on the islands here were closed down at midnight last night. Also German news is reporting that all pubs and clubs in Berlin are closing down.
Our flight home appears to be on time, but we were in town this afternoon and things are quite empty. Most restaurants here during siesta time (when the shops close and everyone goes to eat) are pretty much empty at the moment. Quite a contrast to a week or so ago.
ETA: justread in the Guardian that the Spanish government (Canaries belongs to Spain) is going to activate some clause in their constitution to restrict movement of people and vehicles tomorrow. Our flight is tomorrow. Now on tenterhooks as to whether we can fly out or not…
