Two different versions of TFG signing the military NDAA
The White House announced the president had signed it. It was a quiet affair, with no Oval Office signing ceremony attended by reporters, as has become customary during Trump’s second term.
They left out this part.
President Donald Trump appeared to miss his scheduling signing of the National Defense Authorization Act on Thursday, leaving reporters waiting for nearly an hour before live stream feeds were disabled without explanation.
The White House said that the president had signed the bill, but did not immediately offer an explanation as to why it had not been televised as previously planned.
TFG delivers “national whine speech”, very amped up.
TFG is slurring, sleeping, drooping face
TFG is MIA for bill signing. White House doesn’t respond to request as to what happened.
In a predictable pivot to a familiar page in their political playbook, Republicans are trying to distract from their bankrupt health care policies by attacking gender-affirming care for trans Americans.
Dr. Oz lied his ass off about non-existent bottom surgeries for trans masc MINORS costing $150,000 or more. None of this is real, but as we’ve seen, Republicans imagine terrible things then try to warp reality to reflect their paranoid ravings.
“Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) warned Attorney General Pam Bondi that she could face prosecution if all files concerning sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were not released by Friday.”
Just who in the hell would lodge charges, convene a grand jury, file the resulting indictment, and then prosecute anyone in the current DOJ for failing to properly release the Epstein files? The law Trump signed is obviously a Federal matter. Is there a U.S. Attorney that will be tasked with prosecuting violations of it? WTF?
Trademarks, patents, copyrights, etc are Federal matters. I imagine Trump would violate any of them at his whim, and then shut down any efforts to have the relevant agencies and offices enforce them. Bastard could re-release Gone With the Wind in theaters, keep the box office receipts, and defy anyone to do anything about it. Trump is the law.
The CNN story on “retire if given an illegal order”
Dan Maurer, a retired Army lieutenant colonel and former JAG lawyer, said that the guidance, as described by CNN, appears to “misunderstand what a servicemember is supposed to do in the face of an unlawful order: disobey it if confident that the order is unlawful and attempt to persuade the order-giver to stop or modify it have failed, and report it through the chain of command.”
How should a military commander respond if they determine they have received an unlawful order?
Request to retire — and refrain from resigning in protest, which could be seen as a political act, or picking a fight to get fired.
