Portland Begins Its Own Fight Against Trump’s National Guard Occupations, Joining DC and LA

Portland, Oregon has become President Trump’s newest target for National Guard invasion and blood-drenched hyperbole, as the administration deployed a couple hundred troops over the governor’s resistance this weekend.  In a new federal lawsuit, the state suggests that an inflammatory package on Fox News was the primary impetus for Trump’s new fixation.  “On September 5,…

Commenting here from my foxhole in the war-ravaged, hellhole city of Portland. It’s Monday morning: kids going to school, people going to work, coffee being brewed, light rain falling…total war everywhere, in every way. We pray that the kombucha supply holds out.

Trump is only calling up 200 guardsmen. By the end of the week he will declare victory and claim Portland is pacified. He will add that to his list of wars he has won and demand a Nobel Peace Prize.

Let me sate clearly right off the top here that I am not Antifa. I don’t even know any Antifas or know where they are all hiding. But let me suggest that Antifa should instigate wild violent protests with burning self drive driving Ubers and CVS’s in a red city in a red state, and see if President Pantload sends in the troops.

Outside of Portland’s ICE facility there was a guy protesting while wearing a chicken suit. Yesterday there was a peaceful protest where Portlanders were holding flowers and flags. That is a clear threat to national security and justifies sending 200 National Guardsmen to Portland. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hunkered and bunkered just beyond Portland city limits watching with immense trepidation, outside my window people heavily armed with umbrellas courageously fighting off the droplets of fear unleashed by roving marauders of canines. I don’t know how long we can resist this cascading wetness. Please remember us as the patriots we aspired to be,and always love one another in this hellhole!

The true enemies of the U.S. are watching this very carefully as we spread our military and surveillance response resources thinly and recklessly. It is making the country more vulnerable.

200 national guard troops is an insult to Portland. We feel slighted by Trump. Moreover, the governor won’t allow the troops to be activated.

Keep resisting, Portland! Chicago has shown that resistence is NOT futile.

Also, apropos of nothing, I was in Portland last year, and there were homeless encampments everywhere. The residents seemed cheerful and friendly, but it was concerning that so many were unhoused. Of course, we know the Mango Mussolini won’t deal with that in any constructive manner. Head ‘em up, move ‘em out … or incarcerate in “medical” facilities. (At whose expense?)

May it continue to rain. The National Guard will have to bring umbrellas.

He’s just doing this because someone told him that the local ICE might have to move away from its south waterfront location….maybe to the old Fred Meyer out in Gateway. If that were to happen the publicity might not be as favorable for him, certainly those old video reruns Fox is showing from the 2020 George Floyd riots would fall flat.

I have a lunch with friends at El Gaucho tomorrow and then dinners at Higgins and Jakes Crayfish later in the week. For me and my friends the best protest is to shop and dine in downtown to help keep the economy there on the upswing.

Of course no visit to downtown would be complete without a tour of the new ANTIFA Headquarters on the top three floors of Big Pink. Fabulous views and bagels from Henry Higgins!

There is only ever one answer to that question.
And it ain’t China, or Mexico.
And it ain’t the billionaires.

Someone should file FoI requests for the expenses that the other state’s national guard have incurred by the President’s capricious and unlawful actions.
