That’s debatable.

@$7.75 and hour, and you’d better not suggest that largesse isn’t a gift from the Creator. With luck they’ll have time off for Clan rallies and church on Sunday.

You know grandparents, they tell the grands about “when I was a child.” Our grands have a hard time wrapping their heads around households having only one phone and it being a stationary object with a cord that did nothing but carry voice calls. I’m pretty sure the concept of a busy signal would be very confusing to them. BTW, Grandpa’s house was a one ringy-dingy; the neighbors way up the hill were two.

ETA @economides over and over again I keep wondering how those parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents aren’t twirling in their graves. Having died in cave-ins and industrial accidents, from black lung, and by bullets from strikebreakers, they must be scratching their heads and wondering how their genes got so watered down that their moron children are nostalgic for coal barons.

Byrd told investigators she was “completely unaware of the historical or racial implications of the gesture and reported it was simply a greeting,”

Who are you going to believe, me or your won lying eyes?

It’s good to see they did the right thing. Zero tolerance Accepting excuses only encourages this behavior, none of their excuses passes the laugh test.

I think John Kelly would call those “depreciated assets.” So yeah, probably an expense.
