But Hillary let the Libyans attack Benghazi because she’s a she.
Not limited to the class of 86. The Trump administration has exposed exposed the Generals as a bunch of phony careerists, when not an outright liars and crooks.Starting from the top JCS General Mark A. Milley who recently went to deceive Congress.
We know it wasn’t Trump, because the word has more than two syllables.
After Pompeo insisted that “there was active plotting underway by Qassem Soleimani himself and all those around him,” Baier pressed the secretary of state on whether there was concern that congressional Democrats would leak information if they were alerted about the attack ahead of time.
Yes, I’m sure Pompeo really had to be pressured into agreeing with a scurrilous leading question designed to make democrats sound like supporters of terrorism.
WTF, Summer?
Liars all the way down.
Yes. By which his Ivy-educated ass meant it was a substantial, egregious threat. Very different from “imminent.” Lesser intellects such as ourselves really probably shouldn’t comment at all, as likely as we are to embarrass ourselves in this fast company.
Please, let’s call him a corpulent and mendacious person of obscure parentage.
That seems to be a pretty damn embarrassing thing to admit as a Sec. of State. Or of course, he’s lying. Or both.
Both.
Seems like Pompeo, Barr and Esper are falling all over themselves to see who can be the biggest lying fool for Trump. History will not be kind, nor should it be.
He might as well be saying. I don’t know who ordered that pizza, but it was a good idea and man it hit the spot!
“I don’t know who used it first, but it reflects what we saw,” Pompeo said. “We can dance around the maypole on the word ‘imminent’ — I can assure you of this. The intelligence picture that was painted not only in those days, but in all of the history that builds up to this doesn’t just come to your radar screen new and fresh.”
Yeah, that’s the ticket. It’s like the light coming from distant stars. The signal’s we see are ancient. That’s just the way it is.
I can’t get the image of Pompeo pole dancing out of my head.
in all of the history that builds up to this
The justification is thin, and reasoning specious. History is complex, and at one point Iran was an ally. The weaseling, misleading dross pouring from the mouth of the Secretary of State is as empty and void as his boss’s head is empty. Pompeo makes idiots uneasy when he is compared to them.
Are they ever embarrassed that they can’t keep their “facts” straight? Doesn’t a group of competent mafioso meet beforehand to agree on a planned response to the dead body in the concrete overshoes?
I have approximately zilch love for Esper, but he had the intestinal fortitude to say on national TV “I haven’t seen any evidence”. In any other administration this would be the faintest possible praise (maybe it still is), but it is galaxies of honor beyond anything the wretched and odious Mike Pompeo is able to muster.
For those who are baseball-inclined, Pompeo is Pete Rose in this storyline.
Pompeo supports Trump’s claim that 4 embassies under imminent threat of attack and he did nothing or he calls the claim BS. Do continue Secretary.
They don’t know about ETTD. But they will soon enough.
Ahem. I’m trying to expand on my paltry understanding of the French language, so apologies in advance…
With disrespect to and disdain for the Trump mal-administration: Is this the mensonge du jour, mensonge de l’heure, or mensonge de la minute? Or are we now at the point where we must redefine time intervals in order to capture the appropriate frequency?
This is some bs. Once again, tRump takes extreme actions, then has to cluster lie to distract people from the truth.
Pompeo and Barr need to be very careful about trying to call assassinations deterrence…
Pompeo and Barr need to be very careful about trying to call assassinations deterrence…
…especially since they place themselves and every other high-ranking government representative/executive in other governments’ cross-hairs by their actions.
“Anytime information about something so sensitive gets into too many hands, you should know that not only did we limit this information in the legislative branch, we limited inside the executive branch as well,” Pompeo said.
Too bad that didn’t include the supposed embassies being targeted by that “imminent” threat.
