A veteran prosecutor who served in various capacities in the Bush, Obama and Trump administrations called Secretary of State Mike Pompeo a “coward” Friday for not sticking up for U.S. diplomats abroad.
Ka Boom! Pompeo is probably booking another flight to Kansas!
Rosenberg called Pompeo’s silence a “complete failure of leadership,” and “disgusting,” and said if Pompeo were watching, “I would tell him he’s a coward.”
Reached for comment, Pompeo replied, “Please don’t hurt me!” before wetting himself and fleeing.
Gosh, if only every person who understood that Trumpers are garbage people had said so immediately, maybe we could have laughed these monsters off the stage back in 2015.
I hope that leaves a mark, but it probably won’t given what seems to be Pompeo’s life choice.
And Pompeo graduated first in his class at West Point . . . at least so he claims. What ever happened to “Duty, Honor, Country?”
Just about everybody knew about Trump. Even if they didn’t “know”, they knew
We just thought that–with regard to what Trump is doing RIGHT NOW-- “it just couldn’t happen HERE…”
Unfortunately, in 2015 there were not quite enough of us who understood what a sick and dangerous joke Trump’s candidacy presented. Now the world knows, . . . except of course, the loyal Trumpistas.
It’s not that Pompeo is a coward, but that he’s of the mindset and morals that thinks these attacks are desirable and acceptable courses of action.

Wow! Coming from Rosenberg who is as sober, calm, and measured in his words and demeanor as they come, this is like screaming at a 100 decibels.
In other words, to make Chuck Rosenberg this angry, you’re a special brand of jackass.
West Point’s Cadet Honor Code reads simply that
"A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do."
Failing on all 3 counts.

This statement is all the more damning of Pompeo because Rosenberg is such a measured and thoughtful commentator, as far from being a partisan “flamethrower” as you can get.
When I see Pompeo being interviewed, the adjective unctuous comes to mind.

Geez- Pompeo is not a coward. “Coward” is the term that men call other men. Pompeo is an egotistical, small-minded zealot who puts his “religion” (evangelicals are so funny when they call themselves Christian) and private industry above the interests of the country that gave him everything has.
