Pompeo Has No Specifics When Pressed On Solemani’s Imminent Threat

When pressed about the intelligence about an imminent threat to Americans that prompted the fatal strike against Iranian commander Quasem Soleimani, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo offered up a vague response.

Who gave this guy media training - they suck. More likely, he doesn’t feel he has to communicate in an ordinary way. Smugness is his shield.

Classic born-again. Self righteousness is their version of a cure-all. I once heard a radio preacher recommend it for a headache.

This is a sociopath at least. He hates that they dare to question him.

So the DoD lied about the existence of an imminent threat in its statement announcing the killing of Soleimani. Who’d a thunk it?

Oh, that’s because he is lying, as usual.

What was an “imminent threat” four days ago is now "continuing efforts on behalf of this terrorist to build out a network of campaign activities that were going to lead potentially to the death of many more Americans.” We had to stop him before he built out some more network of campaign activities.
It feels like Pompeo is so excited that he’s about to get his war that he can’t even keep his shit together enough to tell some halfway decent lies. That is a mess.

So it’s good he’s dead, but it was all bullshit. What a shocker.

I fear what is coming soon and that is “How dare you question me. I am God’s messenger”.

I doubt we’ll see Pompeo ever admit something similar.

Colin Powell has called his 2003 speech to the United Nations, laying out the Bush administration’s rationale for war in Iraq, a “blot” on his record. The speech set out to detail Iraq’s weapons program, but as the intelligence would later confirm, that program was nonexistent.

More than 13 years later, the speech continues to haunt the administration — not just for what it got wrong, but for the unintended consequences it may have set in motion.

We have a dead contractor/mercenary. Mercenaries should know the dangers of their “job.” Refer to Roland the headless Thompson gunner.
