Too little, too late, but better than nothing. And barred from all federal employment would be nice.

To probe Pompeo’s ethics, you’d first have to find them.

Isn’t it “Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington”, rather then “Ethics and Responsiblity”?

The fuckin’ REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION!!! Not the “Administration,” not Trump. The. Republican. National. Convention.

You know the ones that had no platform for the future but fealty to Trump.

No Republican stood up and decried this. They all went along.

None of them should be elected or re-elected.

For a very long time.

Meanwhile, back in Kansas-

I hope Michael O’Donnell goes down in flames, and it looks like he will.

Unless these ethics rules can be enforced by an independent 3rd party, a future crooked president can ignore them as Trump has done.

The reality is Trump and his crooked regime are exposing the weaknesses in our ethics rules and laws. If Biden wins and Democrats control Congress, they need to address these defects.

Pompeo defended the speech last month, saying that “all I can say in my role as secretary of state is the State Department reviewed this, it was lawful.”

It’s lawful because I said so! NYAH!!!

… “all I can say in my role as secretary of state is the State Department reviewed this, it was lawful.”

If that’s really “all [you] can say in [your] role as secretary of state,” then you have no business being Secretary of State.

Great Post. The Overriding lesson of the Trump Era was and is:

Crooks taking advantages of certain rules, norms and laws related to our governing Process.

"This trial is a travesty. It’s a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of two mockeries of a sham. I move for a mistrial…

“I will fight this to the ends of the Earth. I will never stop. I will never–Wait, it’s Jan. 21, well bye y’all!”

I hope this anonymous republican includes Pompeo in this criticism, Anyone who stayed with Trump must be shunned and, if applicable, prosecuted for any and all criminality.

Trump Administration Response: Yeah, so what?

Do you honestly think this Justice Department will do anything other than say, “Thank You, we’ll file this appropriately. Hey! Is there room in that shred bin for this?”

As a middle of the road Democrat, I believe in an opposite party to fight against us. I think rigorous debate is good for our country.

But that party signed up with Limbaugh and FOX News and unlimited wealth to be become something beyond information, but a sounding board for fear and divisiveness.

That needs to be cut out like the cancer that it is. When/if that happens, THEN we can go back to E pluribus unum.
