I’m not sure that level of pseudo-incompetence is better than knowingly bullshitting an emergency declaration to sell $8B worth of arms to a known hashisheen named MBS.
And before that he was a GOP backbencher in the House who said nice things about Trump relatively early on. That was the sum total of his credentials for either post he’s served in this government.
Somebody convinced Pompeo that he was smarter than everyone else, hence the smug responses.
What is it about these Christian Fundies? What makes them such awful, dishonorable people?
It’s one of those cause and effect questions. Are they awful, dishonorable people because they are Christian Fundies? Or are they Christian Fundies because they are awful and dishonorable? Any scientist studying the phenomenon needs to get to the causality question before we can draw any valid conclusions.
