A new Alaska Survey shows Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski trouncing former federal magistrate Judge Joe Miller in the August 24 Republican Senate primary. The survey, released Wednesday, finds Murkowski leading Miller 62% to 30%. There’s no past poll for comparison.Ivan Moore, whose company Ivan Moore Research conducted the poll, said that Miller — who has received endorsements from the Tea Party Express and Sarah Palin — has been working to raise his profile in the past few weeks. Still, Moore isn’t surprised that Miller is so far behind. “I didn’t look at Joe Miller’s campaign as being anything more than a potentially more than quite energetic and fringe campaign,” he said.
