It isn’t just that impeachment is becoming quickly and persistently more popular. Trump’s antics are now feeding the popularity of impeaching him. As these numbers rise, Trump’s behavior becomes more chaotic and bellicose creating a vicious cycle. He can’t last much longer with the way he’s acting so I’m pretty sure we’ll have a new President before Christmas.

Their polling operation is legit., unlike most of their broadcasts.

Trump and his advisors are truly political idiots. Much of this trend to being OK with booting him from office is certainly, at a simple, basic level, fatigue from the constant onslaught of bullshit, lies and tweets he puts out 24/7/365. I’d wager if he just shut up, quit tweeting, let his press office do their job and stayed away from chopper talks, closed Oval Office meetings with foreign officials and dispensed with his edge of the chair pontificating, and just generally made himself scarce whenever possible, he’d experience a 5% to 10% bump in approval ratings. This bare majority favoring impeachment would fall back down to the mid to low 40% range. But the thing is, he just can’t do it.

If a Fox poll falls to the enemy will there be a sound across America.

I agree: he’d become much more popular if he’d just fuck off (and take his entourage with him).

And, of course, we wouldn’t want him to. We want him out on the street ASAP.

His betrayal of the Kurds and his excuse that they didn’t invade Normandy is going to be his undoing.

Please proceed, Mr. President.

The GOP will eventually throw him under the bus, likely when the economy fails. Same thing happened with Bush2. They stuck by the dullard, that is until he completely tanked the economy. Dems are now responsible to get him out of there before he completely destroys it, but it’s likely too late for that.

Why is it that people don’t see that recessions are correlated to GOP administrations? Last time it was the Dem’s fault was Carter, and that could be linked to the whole 70s turmoil thing with watergate.

I don’t think that Trump’s advisers have any control over what he does because he is so much smarter than anyone. They ARE IDIOTS for remaining when it is clear he is nuts and getting more so by the minute.

They sided with the Canadians in 1812. I still can’t believe it.

I’m not advocating he take any of those steps. I’m happy to watch him hang himself. But I think I’m correct in my assessment.

As I’ve said all along, “Build it (the case) and they will come…”

Assuming the case is strong, the evidence is solid, and Democrats don’t fuck it up, Republican’ts will find themselves in the no-win choice between loyalty to Party and President and adherence to the rule of law. They will be put on the defensive and have to spend all of their time rationalizing their decision to their base voters. Meanwhile, the Dem base will turn out in force, appeal to new voters and so-called Independents will either vote Dem or stay home…
