A new poll from Democratic-leaning firm Public Policy Polling shows President Obama up 6 points over presumptive Republican nominee, 51 percent to 45 percent. Both candidates have locked down their base in New Hampshire, but Obama’s lead is built on independent voters — he leads among unaffiliated voters 52 percent to 40 percent in the state.
