Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson is far ahead of Rep. Connie Mack IV in the Florida Senate race.
Nelson leads 51 percent to 37 percent, according to the new Marist poll commissioned by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal. The survey of 980 likely voters was conducted Sept. 9-11, and has a 3.1 percent margin of error.
