This headline forgot the adjective “White,” because I’m sure African Americans and other POCs’ opinions haven’t changed much.
I feel like the Trump presidency is literally taking years off of my life and that of my children and grandchildren - and that does make me unhappy.
Can’t speak for all of the people that have straight up died because of this idiot, but I suspect the answer might skew the polls.
When Biden takes the oath of office, the effect on the American Psyche will be equivalent to the whole of the passengers on an airline flight that just came through a really bad weather system and finally made a safe landing.
Sadly, you have to assume that the MAGAts are thrilled with the “winning”

Jesus effing Bleep, AP. You just had to find a woman whose cat died. Not anyone who is freaked out about the destruction of democracy, rampant corruption, white supremacy (of which the murder of George Floyd was only a tip-of-the-iceberg indicator) or any of the thousand other things that might be contributing to existential anxiety for anyone with a brain and paying attention.
If we’re lucky we can turn this into 70 years of national reflection like Germany has managed to do.
Unhappiness usually occurs when you have had so much sustained winning.
