A new USA Today/Gallup poll finds that a majority of Americans support the President’s decision to relieve Gen. Stanley McChrystal of his duty in Afghanistan.According to the poll, 53% of Americans overall support the move, while only 30% disapprove. And while a majority of Americans approve of Obama firing McChrystal, 37% of Americans believe that reprimanding the general, but not removing him from command, would have been a better way to handle the situation.
