There’s a really interesting dynamic going on today on a few other sites where certain groups/communities of commenters are screaming in support of the Hong Kong protesters and the things they are doing like taking over buildings and spaces in those threads, while in other threads they are defending the truck driver here because those protesters where blocking a street.
It’s at least getting called out at a couple of sites, but the disingenuous nature of Post Modern Conservatism really does have an effect on the national conversation and we really need to counter it somehow.
Hopefully, the guy in the truck will be prosecuted under state law for assault and attempted murder-- meaning that Trump can’t pardon him.
Not only them, fire the local police who stood by and did nothing.

No, what I mean is, thanks to Trump and his “policies,” Jews are now in the news A LOT, which makes us very visible and even more the targets than we already are. It’s deeper than just another news story. Of course this event should be reported on.
The protestors in this story are heroes, and are a demonstrating the power and moral righteousness of the Jewish faith.
The state of Israel, on the other hand, undermines the God of Moses with every bulldozed home and murdered protestor.

We had a poster here who still shows up every now and then who darkly warned protesters during I believe the Ferguson protests not to block his vehicle. (This was pointless bravado, he was just saying.) I think people are under the misimpression that you can deal out aggravated assault, attempted vehicular homicide, whatever you want to call it because of protesters blocking a road you want to drive on. I hope this man gets a few years to think over how wrong he was about that.
I hope the staff who pepper-sprayed the protesters get a big fat lawsuit payout for their own mental trauma like the Berkley officer did.
