Plan B And IUDs Already In The Crosshairs

Despite insistence from both Justice Samuel Alito and a flotilla of right-wing publications that the draft opinion overturning abortion rights won’t touch any of its privacy-based cousins, Republican lawmakers are already turning to contraception.

Plan B And IUDs Already In The Crosshairs

Of course! The anti-abortion industry is not going to just claim victory and give two weeks notice to the employees and shut down, those guys need to make a living. They will find other goals in order to keep the donations flowing.

Kinda like the Gun Lobby, that after reversing the ban in assault guns, then went to guns everywhere and now the thing is eliminating all forms of licensing. And when they accomplish that I am sure they will find some new objective.

Per Little Awful Amy the court demands more babies…as long as they’re white…

“I don’t think it’s alarmist to say it’ll become difficult if not impossible in many states to access birth control.”

"You’ll have to pry it from my COLD, DEAD HANDS!!!"

Odd… Seems like just yesterday that prominent TPMers were assuring us that birth control in all forms was totally off-limits and there was no chance that any of it would be banned.

Oh, wait, it was just yesterday.

So moral relativism is bad, but reality relativism is AOK, so long as the facts conflict with “sincerely held” beliefs. It is ludicrous to allow policy to be set by just having enough people who happen to believe a mass delusion.

The majority of people find things like the Salem witch trials to be abhorrent today, but they were strongly backed by the local authorities at the time due to the mass delusion that witches existed and were living among us (as Alito’s leaked draft indirectly brought back to the spotlight).

It’s unethical to allow people’s mass delusions to control public policy for everyone. Otherwise, we would have to bring back witch trials since certain communities are still desperate to see threats in every window reflection and off-hand glance.

The right is counting on people caving. We need to collectively push back and push back hard where it makes a difference. Vote. Enroll people to vote. Look at what politicians companies support and let them know they will lose business. Let’s stop running and face the bastards. Will it be fun? No. But sometimes that is life. We need to do what is right for each of us and for our children. Stay focused and remain energized. The Republican Party we currently see is a veneer of a corrupt, dying, misogynistic subgroup of extreme people. They have no shame and will simply not follow any rules. Don’t drop to their levels but fight back - for us and for our children. We need to make the US sane again.

as you requested …

… there will also be a special judicial process for this -
instead of innocent until proven guilty with evidence -
In the cases of charges of this sort - the accused will have to prove that they have remained

Based on what data, exactly?

I mean, depending who is up for trial, you’d find a quite substantial chunk of the population in support.

Alito, in his Burwell v. Hobby Lobby opinion, and Justice Brett Kavanaugh, during his confirmation hearings, have both uncritically parroted false claims from religious groups conflating contraception and abortion.

So let me get this straight. Here are two Catholic justices, each with two children. Either their sex life is non-existent or their hypocrisy on birth control pegs the meter.

Perhaps that’s just my minor delusion that there are more decent people out there who don’t want to kill innocent people.

Innocent people, no. But when you’ve found a witch, the witch hunt was a success.

Of course witch-hunts are another aspect of cultural synthesis. There are no mentions of witches or witchcraft in the Bible or other “holy” scripture. The only “magic” is God’s miracles. So you have these bifurcated beliefs where Europeans merged pagan beliefs in witches with the continent’s conversion to Christianity. Leading to the inanity of the Christians leading the witch trials in Europe and here in the US for centuries and yet they get the vapors when Harry Potter becomes a sensation because it “teaches” youth about (non-existent) witchcraft.

Viagra or Cialis will be mandatory for men.

And a two-drink minimum for those inhibited types of either gender.

My question is will vibrators be criminalized.

That is while I doubt those old White male jerkoffs will ever outlaw jerking off, it would follow their “Christian values” that women should only getting enjoyment from men.
