When a crime family approaches you about switching sides, I’m not sure its a great idea to talk about it. What would Don Corleone say?
“I’d like for you to do us a favor, though.”
What more do they need to come up with?
“Listen, whoever comes to you with this Barzini meeting, he’s the traitor. Don’t forget that.”
Perfect response!
“I’m staying in the party, in spite of some of the stuff that’s going on that I don’t agree with …"
Does he mean “stuff” like attempting to hold a career criminal to account for his myriad crimes?
Perhaps if Dems regularly used the Constitution for toilet paper he would find the party more agreeable. Until then, he should be unceremoniously booted out.
Speaker Pelosi’s portrait needs to be larger than McConnell’s
Speaking of McConnell, notice any difference?

Looks like the presidency is aging someone else.
I understand Peterson, because his district is +30 Trump, and he’s the only Democrat who could hold it. When he retires, it’s gone. It’s one of the rural districts that became safely red over the last decade. He votes with us half the time, so let’s take that half and hope he runs again. I don’t get Van Drew, since he’s in a swing seat. That’s tough, but very different.
Stopped using hair dye.
ETA. I believe the Senate barbershop goes thru more hair dye than your average beauty shop in a retirement village
It ain’t what you call yourself or whom you caucus with. It’s how you vote. Period. Who cares? Remember Joe Lieberman was a Democrat when he voted to impeach Clinton.
That he later became an independent changed nothing. You are what you vote.
so peterson basically was approached and an attempted bribe was offered to switch parties.
Then he needs more proof that there a criminal enterprise and still does not think that trump should be impeached.
Maybe he is looking to super boost the bribe.
wants millions, not promises.
he is in need of a jowl lift and some shock treatment to put sparkle back into his eyes. lol
Van Drew is a Republican when it comes to a ton of issues. Probably ran as a Democrat early on out of practically. This is just a reason to come home.
I would rather have him switch. A no vote from a Dem gives Repubs a talking point. A Dem switching parties just sinks their own name into the stinking swamp where history will throw the fetid corpse of the Republican party.
He wanted to be king or kingmaker and Satan keeps his word.
How so?
I’m asking, because only two Democratic representives are currently voting no.
The Republican House, Senate, the White House, and Fox News will fill the news cycle with “Dems can’t even convince their own members to vote for the Articles of Impeachment.” CNN will even broadcast a pundit or two voicing their concern.
This is a pretty common tactic that they use to keep the base bamboozled. We’ve all seen this type of thing from them on numerous occasions.
Darling, the same could be said for many of us.
