Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) has declined an offer to debate his Democratic challenger Jon Ossoff ahead of the Georgia runoff election that will determine the balance of the Senate, according to The New Yorker and CNN.
He’s still smarting from the last debate. On top of calling Perdue a crook in the last debate Ossoff just called him a coward for pulling out of this debate.
Asked for a comment, the Perdue Chicken company said:
“After further consideration, it appears that he is one of us.”

Pretty much everything Republicans do flows from their inability to make a case for the things they actually want to do.
See? He’s not as dumb as we all thought!
Has anyone in the Republican party ever taken Mitch McConnell to task? I know these last 4 years were to fill as many judicial vacancies that Mitch created, but what else has he allowed the Senate to work on?
Specifically for Perdue what bills has he introduced? What legislation has he shepherded through process?
Just a few thoughts that some one besides Ossoff should ask the senator.
Well at least Perdue knows enough to put himself in the frying pan again. That’s got to be some progress.
If even Trump could show up for 2 debates, why can’t Perdue? Georgians deserve an answer.
Hit Perdue hard on the debates with lots of clips from the last debate where Ossoff chewed him up and spit Perdue out but Dems should also point out that Perdue will help McConnell from providing much needed pandemic relief.
I actually think the Democrats should just combine their assaults against Perdue and Loeffler in every campaign ad they do for Ossoff and Warnock.
It is a little hard to make out, but that mask Perdue is holding shows the Stars and Bars, the official flag of the Confederate Government.
The latest polls shows Perdue beating Ossof by 4% and Loeffler beating Warnock by 1%. Without Trump on the ballot, the big problem for the Democrats will be turnout.
The voters of Georgia deserve it, you chickenshit!
I’m interested in Perdue and Loeffler’s current polling.
Perdue’s people are confident about their internals and they want to keep that possible advantage.
Its up to Ossoff to take advantage of this.
