A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo.
On the eve of Georgia’s primaries, GOP gubernatorial candidate and Trump stooge David Perdue–who looks like he’s about to get absolutelydestroyed by Gov. Brian Kemp (R) in today’s election–accused Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, who is Black, of “demeaning her own race” because she had said in 2018 that people (not Black people specifically, by the way) shouldn’t have to go into agriculture or hospitality to make a living in Georgia.
Trump has been saying that only paper ballots which are hand counted should count.
That’s what Raffensperger gave him. For the recount they took all the ballots - all of which are paper – and hand counted the Presidential race… Trump lost.
Jackie emailed me. She alerted the IT of the problem. See what a little email can do. lol. My question is, why did it take a little old Canadian? I think I know the answer.
A pie in the face would have taken off the layers and layers of makeup and bronzer on his face. It would probably have also displaced his massive combover and revealed his ugly bald head.
My husband and I are trying to get our heads wrapped around the story about fraudulent signatures on the REPUBLICAN petitions for governor. Was this done to test the system or throw a huge monkey wrench into the whole thing? I think crap like this is going to keep happening until someone finds just one instance of voter fraud, which will allow them to insist on changing the whole system.
And of course, the DeVos family’s deep pockets are somehow involved in all of this.
I can’t get over the possibility of 5 GOP candidates for governor of Michigan possibly being off the ballot because of massive fraud amongst the people they hired to collect signatures to get them on the ballot.
Who is supervising the hired help!? Seems like an important responsibility a candidate would want to get right.
The whole thing is very, very smelly. As Mark Brewer said in the other TPM story about this:
“I’ve been practicing election law in this state since the ‘80s, and I’ve never seen forgery on this scale,” Brewer, the former longtime leader of the state’s Democratic Party, told TPM Monday, before the findings of the investigation were announced.
I was glad to see that the republican officials who were quoted in that story are not at all amused by this.
