WASHINGTON (AP) — The Pentagon’s top leaders are going before Congress for the first time in months to face a long list of controversies, including their differences with President Donald Trump over the handling of protests near the White House last month during unrest triggered by the killing of George Floyd in police hands.
This in on a dangerous trajection line, that traces back to Trump deploying US Troops on the southern border as a campaign stunt in 2018.
And I for one have very little confidence in either Esper or Miley pushing back on such demands in the future. And they will come.
So, what are the rules of engagement when fighting unarmed, albeit pissed off, US citizens on the streets af American cities?
