The Pentagon on Monday extended the National Guard’s deployment in Washington, D.C., following the Capitol Police Board’s emergency request in response to a trucker convoy protesting COVID-19 mandates over the weekend.
I am guessing these folks were ignored by their parents as kids.
Let’s hope that the regular Monday commuter traffic will once again bolix up the Parade of Deplorable Snowflakes.
Oh, and on being anti-vaccination (and where will it end?): Israel is reporting a case of polio in an (of course) unvaccinated child.
These truckers who are opposed to vaccine mandates and basic public health measures seem to forget that since the days of C.W McCall on 8-track a full medical work up is required to drive for a firm. I doubt many of these folks complained about it infringing on their freedom. Instead they ought to be fighting for better working conditions and reducing the shortage of truckers and maybe folks would listen and support their movement, well except for Fox who get all upset when workers not CEOs demand a modicum of agency.

i have asked on variousFB pages, when were you ever forced to wear a mask or get vaxxed…dead silence…i also ask why do you wear a seat-belt…or strap your kid into a restraining device…why do you fix the brakes on your vehicle???why do personell in hospitals wear masks at work…i also say, i wear a mask to protect ‘myself’ from whatever…i’m too polite to ‘protect myself from idiots like you’.
Sadly, that the NG is being extended by the Pentagon will give more life to this convoy nonsense than it deserves.
How do these jerks driving the trucks in this convoy make a living? The sure as hell aren’t making any today. And equally sure, they are aggravating our nations supply-chain issues since they are not hauling cargo and there is a nationwide shortage of qualified truck drivers.

The truckers should be protesting fuel price gouging instead of vaccine mandates. I’d think wallets and bank accounts are a little more important than the stupid political statement of refusing to get a needle in the arm to protect your life and the lives of your family.
But, that’s just me.
Well, apparently, half of the donations which kept the Canadian truckers’ protest going came from America, so I imagine there’s always some dark money sources available for anyone who’ll protest any non-right-wing government.

Back in 2018 there was a measles outbreak in an orthodox Jewish neighborhood, South Williamsburg something quite rare, but then again the unvaccinated. The city health department went door to door to get these folks vaccinated as well as enlisting Rabbis and members of the community to mitigate it.
I strongly doubt it, if they were ultra-orthodox.
