Penn Professor Renews Call To Investigate Trump Admission To Ivy League School | Talking Points Memo

A professor at the University of Pennsylvania has renewed a call to investigate how President Trump was admitted to the ivy-league institution in 1966, citing “new evidence” based on secretly recorded tapes in which Trump’s sister says the President paid a friend to take his SATs.

Perhaps we could start with a release of his transcripts showing that he deserved to be there, accompanied by a record of any donations around that time by his daddy.

Nothing will happen from this. We already know Trump’s cheated his way into everything he has. He certainly did it here. The value in this is contrasting it with his claims that Obama was admitted into collage because he was Black and not otherwise qualified. Trump demanded to see Obama’s transcripts to prove this. He’s the kind of man that has paying someone to take his SAT’s in his past yet rags on man ( always with a racial taint ) for doing something similar when he knows damn well it was not done. That’s Trump.

This is where we are now. The ROT fed to the GOP by Reagan has been digested and incorporated into the body of the GOP to the extent that this won’t even register as an issue to your basic Elected/Selected GOP member. SADLY, a good portion of the party members will also not care.

‘In one tape, Barry said Donald Trump “went to Fordham for one year [actually two years] and then he got into University of Pennsylvania because he had somebody take the exams.”‘

Of course I’d love Trump to get exposed for cheating his way into college but I have to say that this story doesn’t make total sense to me. Wouldn’t he already have taken the SATs if he was at Fordham? And if he hadn’t for some reason would UPenn have required that he take them as a transfer student? I sort of doubt it—especially at that time. Also, SATs are weighted much less heavily for transfer students since you already have an academic transcript. It seems much more likely his cheating would have been with regard to that transcript than to his SATs.

The base will not care at all…

Perhaps Penn’s SAT requirements were higher (no doubt) than Fordham’s were, and as one of the considerations that he be admitted was a new SAT. I have no idea what Penn’s requirements were, what transfer regs were in place, or how many wheelbarrows’ full of cash would seal the deal, but this “investigation” is so far down the list of outrageous behaviors and the election so close, how about we keep our eyes on November 3rd, and make sure no hanging chads will interfere with a change of administration.

The playing field is decidedly not equal, and your degrees are routinely purchased.

He might have been allowed to transfer based on the high SAT scores that got him into Fordham. This would be very relevant if his grades at Fordham were as poor as we would expect them to be.

It would be more revealing to see his Fordham transcript. Remember that letter Michael Cohen wrote to the priest who’s the president of Fordham threatening horrible things if they ever made Trump’s transcript public?

BTW, I have a friend who was a Fordham student during Trump’s two years there. It’s not such a big place. He wasn’t aware of Trump’s presence at all. Never saw him, never heard of him.

From the snippets of tape, it sounds as if either there was a set of entrance exams for the transfer that he paid someone to take, or he paid someone to take his exams at Fordham so his transcript would look good.

Like the old game show To Tell the Truth. Will the real Joe Shapiro finally come forward?

After the other 10,000 scandals and crimes, let’s take this up.

And once they find out the truth (if they could) what will they (the University) do? Pull his degree?

Orts[,] who is a professor of legal studies and business ethics at the Wharton School, said he [is] not seeking the investigation as a matter of politics but on moral grounds.

Sorry Prof, but in today’s climate morality is a political issue. The moral majority is often held hostage by the immoral minority because the party of morality declines to engage the other party on its immoral terms.

Maybe if the Professor starts babbling about sending investigators to the admissions department, and claims repeatedly that they are finding very interesting things, things you wouldn’t believe, fox will give him hours upon hours of free airtime.

Or does that only apply to certain Presidents?

It’s a small thing on top of trumpian criminality and corruption BUT if it can send him to jail like Lori Laughlin and hie husband did, I’m all for it.

After all, no one is and should be above the law/any law and certainly, no stable genius needs to cheat to get into college!

Let’s not forget, the Stable Genius has cheating “priors”!
