Vice President Mike Pence was reportedly alerted that he may have to temporarily take over presidential powers during President Donald Trump’s unexpected visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center late last year.
Has any reporter ever asked Trump about this, so at least the lie will be documented from his own lips?
Pence was on standby? How could that be when the order of succession goes Ivanka, Donald Jr., Jared, and then (sigh), Eric.
Worth adding that from what I’ve seen this was described to Schmidt as a “cerebral event.” A stroke, in other words, although probably mild.
Ask a question and risk their access? Surely you jest. Mere stenographers rarely ask questions.

Trump’s visit did not follow the protocol of a routine presidential medical exam…
Nothing is routine with this Orange Menace…be it his health, his wealth or his fitness for office!
The fourth estate need to think out of the box here and not be mini Chuck Todd’s when interviewing or reporting about Trump and his corrupt administration!

The Vice-President is ALWAYS on standby to assume the duties of the Presidency, no? Especially if a President goes to a hospital for ANY reason, right? I see that this is a story so far as pondering Trump’s health, but looking at it through the prism of Pence being at the ready to take over is drivel. Sort of “Duh!” in my mind.

I realize that this saying is getting a bit threadbare -but it rings true even in paraphrase: Everything That Touches Trump Dies.

Just skim his business career, and how he made the major decisions along the way. What we see now exactly fits the pattern. He will consistently, really invariably, choose the most disastrous and ill-considered option. There’s nothing magical about it; he’s got the world’s worst judgment to the extent that he actually thinks about things at all.
Who knows what actual medical issues Trump has; when you factor in his age, obesity, inactivity, and poor diet, he could present with a constellation of medical issues, any one of which could require an unscheduled visit to the hospital.
Worse than any medical issue Trump faces, including his demise, is the fact that that imperious, religiously-afflicted, Koch-funded, Martinet, Pence will be in charge.
Either way, America is under minority rule, whether a manifestly unqualified grifter or a religiously-afflicted, big business, “Christian” is in charge.
