Looks like Pence is trying to play the role of the ‘peacemaker,’ the unifier of a divided movement: both sides may despise him but they hate the libs more.
All without any need to acknowledge their every impulse now is fascistic and the next ‘Trump’ is right around the corner ready to excite their passions again.
That excessive lust for power is at the root of politics and also the root of our current problems in our government. The motivation should be a desire to do what’s right for the country, not one’s person. But as we see that’s seen as weakness. Imagine if we operated from an altruistic frame of mind what we could do as a country. But we will not.
By the way, Pence, you can go to New Hampshire and you can go to Iowa and you can go to Nevada and you can go wherever in the goddamn hell you want but you will never, ever be president of anything much more important than a homeowners’ association, you traitorous coward. Just wait until all the books come out. You’re a never was and now you’re a never will be.
Yeah, yeah…he may not see ‘eye to eye’ to Trump but he’s not ready to STAND UP FOR THIS COUNTRY and call out those who seek to destroy it. It’s still ‘liberals, Democrats, socialists and BS’…
I have a very annoying tendency to bring up that story when I get into a “no true Scotsman” discussion about who may call themselves Christian. Jesus did lay out the criteria.
Personally, I avoid the issue by identifying myself with my denomination. If Mike Pence and I are both labeled “Christian” the zookeepers have clearly put one of us in the wrong cage.
