Vice President Mike Pence’s office blamed the uproar over his decision to go more than 100 miles out of his way during his trip to Ireland to stay at a Trump property on “misreporting.”

So…Haberman is just passing on press releases now?

I say this as if it represents a change in her methods.

Yes, let’s do blame it on the hurricane, that by the way, is still around Florida and last I checked the VP flies out of DC.
Oh, was there a hurricane in Ireland? Always, always try to clarify what’s been said. /s

And how in the world does the hurricane in the Caribbean effect the schedule of the VP in Ireland?

Well… of course they’re going to deny that they were directed by the President to spend taxpayer money in a way that provides a direct financial benefit to Trump.

Because the first explanation is (to paraphrase Paul Ryan) the textbook definition of corruption.

Why did Hurricane Dorian force a change of plans on a trip 5000 miles away?

Misreporting comments that were said on fucking camera… Right.

Grifters gotta grift.

They do realize that all of these crimes are prosecutable in 2021…

When you try to trot out (what you hope is) a slightly more acceptable excuse, after mindlessly obeying the boss’ “suggestion” first…

Reminder: this doesn’t happen in a functional and ethical workplace. It just doesn’t.

JFC. Pence might as well be three kids found out back of a house by the cops, taken down to the station, and put in three interrogation rooms where each one told a different story. “Misreporting,” you POS. You can’t keep your own story straight.

So far, it doesn’t appear they need to.

“There has been some misreporting.” Of your actual quotes? Go screw yourselves, lying bags of crap.

I would love to see the Grifter in Chief being forced to “disgorge” (legal term, honest to god) whatever was put into his pockets while he held the office.

You know what is interesting about this story?

At no point did the President ever offer to waive the cost of staying at his resort for the entire entourage . Never.

That right there should be the entire focal point of the reporting. But it isn’t. Instead we have everyone bending over backwards to give Pence the benefit of the doubt and let him make numerous attempts at presenting some fig leave to hide behind.

Plain and simple, Mike Pence is a lickspittle.

“At no time did the President direct our office to stay at his Doonbeg resort and any reporting to the contrary is false.”

“I don’t think it was a request, like a command … I think it was a suggestion,”

I’ve been in the military, and I and anyone else who has knows that a suggestion from a superior officer is to be regarded the same as an order.

It’s utterly routine for reporters to put statements like this out on their Twitter feeds. Maybe you didn’t know that.
